Job Title: Senior Digital Analyst

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced Marketing Performance Analyst to manage and leverage our data-driven, predictive digital marketing analytics. Predictive digital marketing is one of many new initiatives at Thermo Fisher aimed at producing cost efficient, scalable marketing processes. As the Marketing Performance Analyst for predictive digital marketing analytics, you will interface with the digital marketing team and the data science team to manage and evolve the analytics around these predictive analytics programs. You will lead the partnership with senior management to define strategy and provide insights. This role is an individual contributor position and is highly visible. The successful candidate will have a broad background in business systems analysis, marketing analysis, and presentation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted digital analytics partner to business and marketing leaders by understanding and presenting predictive digital marketing performance drivers.
  • Lead the definition of “metrics that matter” and develop reports and dashboards that measure the performance of predictive digital marketing programs.
  • Lead the planning and execution of large scale multi-functional/division analytics projects.
  • Lead the development and implementation of processes across functions and business units to monitor and manage performance. These will include monthly or quarterly performance reviews.
  • Work with members of digital marketing teams to develop and communicate actionable, revenue generating strategies by analyzing predictive digital marketing performance.
  • Plan complex projects involving process and technology changes with a large set of stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands on digital marketing analytics/BI experience. Experience supporting Digital Marketing & Sales teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics, with minimum 4 years of experience in Adobe Analytics specifically. Experience with building workspaces, tag management strategy, and digital marketing best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-touch attribution, AB Testing,
  • 5 years of leading major marketing analytics projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership in the area of digital marketing performance management, including ROI and LTV measurement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with a strong background in math.
  • Expertise with several leading analytics tools, such as PowerBI and Excel. Ability to learn other tools and evaluate tools for suitability of implementation.
  • Ability to extract information from common SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrated experience in BI data architecture, including ETL and APIs, and DW concepts such as star schema and snowflake.
  • Skilled at manipulating numbers. Demonstrated analytics skills.
  • Strong graphics and visualization. Ability to convey message simply and advise on best possible graphics visualizations.
  • Familiarity with statistics and probability at undergraduate level of study. Background in data science helpful but not required.
  • Demonstrated initiative and tenacity to begin a project and complete it. Demonstrated project management and project planning skills. Ability to provide a solid plan for complex projects including stakeholders alignment planning, communication planning and process change planning.
  • Excellent communication skills. Able to present executive summaries of actionable insights and recommendations to executives.
  • Collaborate with the immediate and broader functional team to help provide holistic actionable insights.
  • Independently exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies. Selects methods and techniques of obtaining solutions to problems of relatively routine to diverse scope and moderate to high complexity.
