About the RoleThe Verkada Global Real Estate Team is looking for a leader to oversee our facilities and workplace program globally. This role will define the standard for Verkada facilities as the company expands around the world. It is an opportunity to drive consistency, efficiency, and help to sew company culture into a world class workplace experience. This is an operations role with focus on both front and back of house facilities, as well as ownership of associated opex budgets. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a delightful employee experience by consistent delivery of exceptional facilities support from Workplace team members on site
  • Manage all day to day facility operations globally
  • Partner with senior leadership to solve for unique challenges
  • Manage all applicable vendors and contract renewals
  • Oversee company wide workplace tickets via Zendesk
  • Receive, assess, and solve any office related security issues
  • Partner with the Construction & Planning team, as well as the EAs to manage ongoing seating strategy
  • Event logistics and support globally
  • Manage and create meaningful career pathways for Verkada’s growing Workplace team
  • Partner with Construction & Planning team on facility maintenance and improvements
Experience:
  • A passion for creating a first in class employee Workplace experience
  • Ability to successfully coach and develop direct reports to a high level of performance
  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities and projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments, work collaboratively, and manage conflict constructively
  • Ability to remain agile and multi-task effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks as assigned and delegating tasks as needed
  • 7+ years of customer service experience
  • 7+ years of broad operations experience
  • 4+ years managing a Workplace / Facilities program
  • People management experience
