The immigration team centrally invents on behalf of this population through the tools, technology, and processes for their successful global immigration filings. Projects improve the cost, quality, and regulatory compliance for immigration services at Amazon, while providing a world class experience to Amazonians requiring immigration sponsorship.

We have a bold vision for the future, and are looking for an experienced Sr. Manager, Immigration Process to join the team. The Sr. Manager, Immigration Process will lead the diverse team of onshore process specialists, analysts, product/program manager, and an offshore process hub responsible for establishing, executing, and improving operational processes. This people leader position is based in Seattle or Bellevue.

We are looking for someone to lead the team that figures out how to drive efficiency and quality in all that we do. Working with the team, this person will create, validate, and test all program SOPs; determine where in the world the work is performed best; and build mechanisms to ensure quality. The person will inspire team to eliminate waste, innovate process by eliminating unnecessary touch points in immigration processes. The person will also lead technology roadmap guiding technical teams to build world class immigration products. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader and manager who is decisive, action-oriented, and able to motivate, inspire, and lead cross-functional teams. The right candidate is an expert in process design and continuous improvement, and is unapologetic about having extremely high standards for quality of work. In addition, this person must have the ability to think strategically and act tactically at the same time, have a proven record of delivering projects with measurable results, and possess strong written and oral communication skills.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Leading a diverse team of process specialists, analyst, product manager, and offshore process hub
  • Working with immigration experts and business partners, like Legal and Risk & Compliance, to gain a deep understanding of immigration work
  • Working with Business Analysts and data experts on the team to improve provider data quality and business metrics
  • Working with technical teams to develop scalable technology solutions for immigration
  • Creating, validating, and testing immigration process SOP
  • Leading process workshops, ideally with Lean Six Sigma and/or GEMBA methodology, to continually streamline processes
  • Deciding where process delivery happens, and ensuring quality of output through review and creation of success metrics and quality inspections
  • Own, execute and implement 3-year process and technology roadmap
  • Working closely with global teams to design standard processes when applicable

  • 2+years’ experience as a product manager delivering global solutions
  • Experience leading Business Analysts or Business Intelligent Engineers
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to work with leadership to define key questions and develop strong metrics for evaluation.
