Job Description

Our Opportunity:

Chewy seeks a highly motivated, analytical, and enthusiastic Senior Financial Analyst (CapEx and Financial Systems) to join our rapidly growing Corporate Finance team in Bellevue, WA. Combining an understanding of finance, strong practical knowledge of financial statements, and showcasing the ability to use data to make-and-drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key decisions, drive growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.


What you'll do:

  • Partner with team members and cross-functional leaders in our Operations, Facilities, Technology and Studio teams to review capital expenditure and drive the forecasting and planning processes
  • Identify planning assumptions for key business drivers and track financial performance and ROI for CapEx projects
  • Assist in building financial models for budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning related to CapEx initiatives
  • Work cross-functionally with Accounting to support monthly close processes (basic knowledge of GAAP)
  • Recognize and propose analyses influencing business partners and finance leaders to drive positive change in the business
  • Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide systems support for end users to the Oracle EPBCS (Hyperion/SmartView) system and other financial systems
  • Participate in software upgrades, design, implementation, functional testing, and data validation to ensure quality solutions and ensure that all financial modules are meeting organizational needs
  • Enable a continuous improvement process in an organized manner

What you'll need:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • 3+ years relevant finance experience (e-commerce a plus) with a basic understanding of GAAP and strong grasp of financial statements
  • Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Must be proactive with ability to think creatively, self-start, work independently, deal with ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines / prioritize changing workloads while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication / collaboration skills required; role involves building strong relationships across the organization
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to explain system issues to non-technical personnel
  • Must be able to prioritize work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with supporting the design and implementation of financial systems and tools

Bonus:

  • Experience with Hyperion SmartView, Tableau, Oracle ERP, SQL coding
  • Project Management experience
