Sr. Feature Algorithm Engineer

Stoneridge, Inc., is an independent designer and manufacturer of highly engineered electrical and electronic components, modules and systems for the automotive, medium and heavy-duty truck, agricultural and off-highway vehicle markets. The Company conducts its business into two segments: Electronics and Control Devices. The core products of the Electronics reportable segment include vehicle electrical power and distribution systems, and electronic instrumentation and information display products. The core products of the Control Devices reportable segment include electronic and electrical switch products, control actuation devices and sensors.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This Senior Feature Algorithm Engineer will provide experience and guidance to develop state-of-the-art ADAS features for commercial trucks based on Stoneridge’s reward winning product “MirrorEye”. The model based design will be adopted for future feature development. The entire development phase needs to follow ASPICE standards. The Senior Feature Development Engineer will also implement advanced control algorithm, threat assessment, and path planning algorithms as part of the position.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop vehicle control algorithm with perception algorithm result
• Work with system engineer to clarify and implement system requirement
• Perform SiL simulation with prototype model
• Tune and test feature algorithm in host truck
• Debug issues and improve performance with test result
• Deploy overall feature algorithm into production project
• Perform simulation and big data analysis with real world user profile(RWUP) data

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s or PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, mechanical engineering, aerospace, biomedical, etc.
• Master's Degree with 3 years’ of working experience. Or PhD with solid research experience in related area.
• Self motivated, as well as a team work focus.
• Strong coding and modelling skills in Matlab, simulink, stateflow, C/C++
• Experience using environment simulation tool, e.g., CarMaker
• Can-do attitude and passion for excellence
• Travel will be less than 10%
