Sr. ETL Developer

Maxar is looking to add an Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) developer to join our team in Northern, VA

Day-to-day with your colleagues:

• You will be providing software development support in a secure environment utilizing a variety of language and platforms including:
• PostgreSQL/PostGIS database interaction
• Maintenance and development of a custom Python-based ETL framework
• Scripting/automated gathering of new data sources

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen with a current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, geography or related field or four years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• 8 years of relevant experience
• Experience with Python
• Experience in Bash scripting
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Basic knowledge of HTTP

Preferred Skills:

If you also had these skills, that would be amazing:

• Understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) concepts.
• Experience with ESRI's ArcGIS Javascript API and/or other GIS software applications
• Understanding of REST
• Experience operating in AWS/C2S
• Understanding of SSL/TLS
