Job Description

We are looking for frontrunners in the field of DevOps. You may have a Software Development background, an Operations background, or you were raised in a DevOps culture from the start of your career. The field of DevOps covers a wide range of organizational design, process design, and information technology engineering. If you recognize yourself in the following, we want to hear from you! This is 100% Remote Position.

  • Relevant experience includes functioning as a senior information technology professional demonstrating a high level of knowledge with the principles of the work to be performed
  • Experience demonstrates a technical proficiency in relevant specialty area(s) requiring a wide range of complex problem solving through the development of solutions
  • Work may have involved serving as the IT lead on multiple complex IT projects
  • You want to containerize EVERYTHING! Docker, Kubernetes and Rancher are a few of your favorite things
  • You write code and will roll up your sleeves to pair program with software developers when needed. Python, Golang, Ruby and Shell Script are often used with client interactions
  • You are intimately familiar with leading open-source frameworks and tools and can work with software development and operations teams to enable DevOps automation ranging from Git, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and others
  • Your commitment to meeting deadlines and exceeding client expectations is equal to your commitment to writing great code
  • Experience gained in a variety of settings and could include development and maintenance of technical standards; documentation and user guidelines; customization of operating system(s) to meet project requirements; development of software testing procedures; troubleshooting of complex technical problems; provision of expert consultation in specialty area(s); development of multimedia products based on user needs; research and investigation of specialized computing options and solutions; development of requirements for unique software that is unavailable in the marketplace; and creation of original innovative designs, templates, and formats for multimedia products
  • Experience working with a CI/CD environment with GitLab or GitHub / Jenkins or like platform
  • 3 years of experience focused on automation and maintenance of live software environments
  • 3 years of experience with tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory
  • 3 years of experience managing and coordinating test schema creation and data automation with tools such as flyweight
  • 3 years of experience with artifact packaging and deployments

Requirements

  • 8 + years software development experience

  • Experience with web application development using HTML, CSS, and Angular

  • Experience using SQL, Postgres, and NoSQL databases
  • Ability to navigate and administer Linux operating systems
  • Understanding on how to scale server-side applications depending on load

  • Experience working on Agile teams, specifically using the Scrum method
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willing to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution
  • BS in CS or relative experience
