Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESSummary: As part of the ERP implementation team, the Senior Operations Business Analyst role must have proven extensive knowledge and success managing and leading requirements workshops as part of a Dynamics AX implementation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and documenting business requirements by analyzing current “As Is” processes in the area of operations. This candidate will require knowledge in key Dynamics AX 2012 R3 or D365 F&O modules including: Product Information Management, Procurement and Sourcing, Sales and Marketing, Inventory Management and Advance Warehouse ManagementAs a Sr. Business Analyst, the candidate is liable for collaborating with all business/IT work streams and in the analysis and development of future enterprise solutions. The candidate is responsible for preparing user training material, training super users and documenting and supporting in the elaboration of testing scripts. This role is responsible for the end to end understanding of a wide range of supply chain and operations processes which include: Planning & Procurement, Warehousing & Distribution, Manufacturing, Forward and Reverse Logistics.Job Responsibilities:

- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding. Ability to distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements. Deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional Requirement Documents, Business Requirement Document, Use Cases, Process Flows, Interface Designs, Scope Statements, Project Charters, Status Reports and Meeting Notes
- Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
- Independent management of small projects – requirements gathering, execution and follow up with internal and external stakeholders maintaining timeline deliverables whenever possible
- Escalation of risks and issues to leadership for quick resolution
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans
- Assist QA with developing and executing testing plans as required
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Works independently with users and under direction of project managers to define concepts
- Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
- Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and IT. Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams
- Advocate the adoption of project management best practices within all departments
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years or more in a Business Analyst role
- 5+ years or more working in an IT environment interfacing with both business and technical resources
- 5+ years of experience working with warehousing and distribution environments that use the AX 2012 R3 or D365 F&O advance warehouse management module
- Experience working in business transformation initiatives and projects
- Analytical and Conceptual skills
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and SharePoint
- Extensive knowledge of SDLC and PMO methodologies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to absorb and present large amounts of detail through various forms of communications to any level of business users, IT management, or technical role.
- Ability to facilitate and lead very complex discussions in a mixed technical and business team environment.
- Time management skills
- Experience writing Functional Requirement Documents, Business Requirement Document, Use Cases, Process Flows, Interface Designs, Scope Statements, Project Charters, Status Reports and Meeting Notes
- Assist in creation and timely completion of project schedule
- Must be self-directed and able to work effectively in a teaming environment with little to no direct supervision.
- Warehousing and distribution industry experience
- Background in ERP Implementations – Focus on DC operations and inventory management
- Knowledgeable in Dynamics AX 2012 R3 / D365 F&O modules - Product Information Management, Procurement and Sourcing, Sales and Marketing and Inventory Management.
- Working knowledge in Transportation Management is a Plus
