Headquartered in Exeter, RI, the company has offices across the United States and internationally—with three Network Operations Centers.Responsibilities: Senior Unified Communications Engineer (Carousel Industries of North America, INC.; Exeter, Rhode Island): The Sr. Unified Communications Engineer will be an expert in Cisco’s leading-edge unified communications products. Specific duties include: Leading UC implementation projects in partnership with Carousel’s Project Management Office and Carousel’s customers; providing technical expertise from project kickoff to project closure and documentation; configuration and implementation of project UC, Video, Data Center and Network components; creating detailed technical implementation plans; providing technical project management to supplement Carousel’s Project Management Office; creating and executing test plans; creating client comfort and confidence in Carousel; leading customer design and consulting engagements; contributing to, and providing leadership for, Carousel’s UC Practice meetings and initiatives. Ability to telecommute from anywhere in the continental U.S.
Qualifications: Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent based on an acceptable combination of education and experience in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field; and 5 years of experience in designing, configuring, and implementing Cisco UC Collaboration Suite of products.
Must have: Demonstrated knowledge of and hands-on experience with of Cisco UC applications, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity, Cisco Unity Connection, and Cisco Unified Contact Center Express; demonstrated administration/configuration experience, Scripting experience, Calabrio Workforce optimization products experience; demonstrated experience with Cisco Meetingplace/Webex, Cisco Emergency Responder; proven knowledge of Cisco client UC applications including Jabber, IP Communicator, and CUCiMOC; working knowledge of Cisco IOS as it pertains to Cisco routing and switching products – CCNA level understanding or better; demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Cisco MediaNet concepts and configuration; proven knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, and Lync; demonstrated hands-on Video Solution design experience with Tandberg and Cisco Telepresence; Open Text Rightfax implementation experience and Cisco Digital Media Solutions experience. (Unless otherwise indicated, Carousel Industries is seeking the ability in the skills listed above with no amount of years of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.)
