We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Digital Solution Architect to drive high priority customer initiatives on globally leading cloud platforms. This is an internal-facing role, owning the overall technical aspects of digital solution's feasibility, design & architecture, security, scaling, and continuous delivery. The ideal candidate would have successfully led IIoT technical architectures and be highly experienced in working closely with cross-functional teams.Core responsibilities include:- Apply technical expertise and insights to architect highly complex technology-based IIoT solutions.
- Provide leadership regarding H/w & S/w integration, cloud architecture, services consumption, application design, DevOps optimizations, and 3rd party integrations.
- Ensure digital solutions become future proof, exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
- Develop trusted relationships with key decision-makers to drive long-term cloud adoption and advocate IIoT solutions for their businesses.
- Be the champion on digital technology identification, assessment, application, and implementation of best practices, and work with Engineering teams to remove key blockers.
- Assess for respective businesses, their h/w platforms, and overall cloud maturity to support IIoT solutions.
- Develop a structured IIoT technology roadmap and enable its delivery through product teams.
- Collaborate closely with Carrier Digital teams to architect complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions on Carrier IoT Cloud (AWS based) and integrating other 3rd party services.
- Maintain technical skills and knowledge of digital trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the Digital community
- Be a Cloud-first and IIoT solutions evangelist with business & functional stakeholders
- 7-10 years of success in designing/managing complex technical architectures and support of highly distributed applications required using modern framework of cloud, microservices, containers, and serverless compute.
- Understand business' overall applications landscape, cloud maturity, growth priorities, and success measures to design digital solutions using PaaS/IaaS/SaaS models.
- Apply technical experience and insights to craft an IIoT roadmap for connected install base, new digital services, enable 3rd party integrations.
- Architect solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring the technical viability of new initiatives and the migration of legacy applications.
- Champion successful deployments while orchestrating cloud-native services and infusing key infrastructure technologies (e.g., device connectivity, edge compute, data management) and application development technologies (e.g., app services, serverless, etc.).
- Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, IIoT architecture designs, migrations, and technology management.
- Apply expertise to architect solutions and ensure long term technical viability of new initiatives, using key technologies where appropriate (e.g., AWS AI Services, cognitive services, big data, AWS SageMaker, etc.)
- Understand the enterprise IT landscape and act as the subject matter expert for running workloads on AWS and provide appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers.
- Domain expertise in cloud infrastructure solutions (i.e., Windows and Linux IaaS, PaaS, Serverless compute, API Management, Security, Data Management, Storage, Networking, containers, and Infra as a code technology.
- Deep expertise in –
- Serverless and cloud-native developments
- continuous-integration technologies (e.g. Jenkins, AWS for DevOps, Chef);
- web application server technologies, cloud application design, software architecture, and practices; (design/development/deployment, Agile, SCRUM, ALM)
- one or more of the following programming languages: Node.js, Python
- High level expertise in –
- using integrated development environments (e.g., Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, XCode, WebSphere) targeting Android, iOS, Linux, Windows, public clouds (AWS required)
- SQL including RDS & Aurora
- NoSQL Databases including OSS (DynamoDB/Mongo)
- Big Data including SQL DW, Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift
- Usage of data estate workloads like Hadoop, Cloudera, Spark, Python
- Relationship Building: Proven track record of building trusted relationships with Digital and Business management across product lines. Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions/initiatives.
- Problem Solving: Ability to solve problems using analytical thinking, reconciling viewpoints, evaluating technologies, and leveraging key relationships.
- Communication: Recognized for articulating digital vision, solving challenges, and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, Digital management, Functional leaders as well as DevOps teams).
- Education & Certification:
- Master's degree / Ph.D. from a premier school in Computer / Data Science, Information Technology, IoT, or related field preferred.
- Certification preferred in one or more of the following technologies: Cloud, mobile, web application development, cloud-native application architecture (i.e., containers, microservices, API management), modern software development techniques like DevOps and CI/CD toolchains (i.e., Jenkins, Spinnaker, GitHub)
