Support the preparation of Capital Requests and Investment Committee Submissions (20% of time)
- Gather data, update analysis and format deliverables for capital requests and Investment Committee submissions
- Coordinate with other departments to gather input information for deliverables and verify its accuracy / completeness
Prepare market analytics, competitive intelligence and ad hoc analyses to inform forward planning and executive decision making (40% of time)
- Publish regular new home market competitive analytics monitoring competition sales, pricing, incentives, product and operational trends, including in-depth analysis of impacts to relevant Irvine Pacific projects
- Publish regular resale market analytics, including comparable market analysis covering pricing, volume, geographic and other key market indicators
- Publish regular Irvine Pacific sales pace and pricing performance tracking dashboards to inform division management of current progress towards Business Plan
- Prepare weekly Irvine Pacific Sales & Pricing Meeting analytics package in coordination with sales / escrow / marketing
- Gather data necessary from numerous sources to publish consistent and insightful analysis on the new home and resale market
- Prepare ad hoc analysis of internal operational metrics in conjunction with production, marketing and sales (i.e., traffic analysis, buyer profile reporting, production status analytics)
Support the ongoing implementation and management of the division’s Investment Framework (20% of time)
- Prepare underwriting for Irvine Pacific projects in accordance with the Homebuilding & Land division’s investment framework
- Support the ongoing monitoring / reporting of current and future project profitability, including reforecasts and post-mortems
- Prepare ad hoc financial and data analysis to support senior management’s review of assumptions and development of new assumptions for future projects / revised projects (i.e., pricing, costs, timing, etc.)
- Ensure underwriting assumptions align with business plan assumptions and prepare analysis to support the regular review and update of business plan assumptions
Support the preparation of the division’s executive reporting & presentation materials (20% of time)
- Support the preparation of weekly presentation materials for Division and Company leadership
- Support the monthly Executive Dashboard update process
- Support the Quarterly Business Review presentation process
Education:
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics or related field
Experience:
- 2 – 5 years of experience within finance and residential real estate
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis
- Excellent Excel and data modeling skills
- Proficient in residential real estate market concepts and trend analysis
- Ability to develop presentation-ready deliverables with high attention to detail and rigorous analysis in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organization skills and a willingness to embrace change and ambiguity
- Collaborates well with others
