SQL Specialist/Developer

CommuniCare Health Services is currently recruiting an experienced SQL Specialists to design, implement, and administer data processes and solutions for the corporation.

The CommuniCare Family of Comapnies is a privately owned healthcare organization based in the Blue Ash suburb of Cincinnati, OH. Since 1984 we have owned and operated healthcare facilities in multiple states. The SQL Developer position is a full-time position located at our Corporate Office and serves as a key member to the IT department.

Essential Job Functions include:

• Identify, analyze, and solve problems related to database, application, or reporting in a thorough process and in a timely manner.
• Document designs and code according to departmental standards.
• Anticipate and devise possible solutions to application and database-related problems.
• Test deliverables satisfactorily to ensure accuracy of data according to departmental standards prior to release.
• Provide customers and team members with timely, relevant, and accurate information so that they can make accurate decisions.
• Work alongside a development team and SME’s as part of an agile process to build custom applications for our internal clients.
• Follow through the entire development life cycle (SDLC) as it pertains to new systems.
• Anticipate and determine security concerns and address appropriately.
• Follow departmental standards for maintaining version control.
• Use appropriate tools and methodology for development.
• Assist with database administration tasks.
• Analyze and tune database queries and design to improve performance.

While we prefer candidates with a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, we will consider non-degreed candidates who possess related professional certification. Experience must include a minimum of two years of full stack development with .NET and SQL Server 2008 or higher and a preference of one year of reporting development.

Candidates should preferably possess the following technical skills:

• .NET languages (C#, VB.NET, ETC.)
• Front-end technologies (ASP.NET, JavaScript, AJAX, XHTML, HTML5, XML, CSS3)
• Microsoft T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS
• Relational database concepts
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Documentation concepts

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred. We will consider non-degreed candidates with related professional certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years front-end development experience with .NET technologies.
• Minimum of 2 years Microsoft T-SQL development preferred.
• Minimum of one year reporting development preferred.
• Knowledge of: Microsoft T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS, Relational database concepts, Database architecture, Database administration, Microsoft Access, Office, Visio, and VBA
• Excellent problem solving skills
