Sprinkler Fitter

Fire Sprinkler Fitters and Helpers:
Kennedy Mechanical Plumbing and Heating, Inc. is currently hiring for a Sprinkler fitter. The Sprinkler Fitter is responsible for installing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining fire protection systems and backflow prevention devices.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure safety guidelines are followed on every job
• Interact with the customer to ensure the work performed will meet their expectations
• Perform an accurate install of system as per drawings
• Submitting completed and necessary paperwork daily
• Ability to troubleshoot minor electrical issues on sprinkler systems (compressors, flow switches, and tamper switches)
• Understand and wear proper PPE as required
• Determine correct tools and equipment necessary to complete a job successfully
• Communicating with Project Manager and/or Field Supervisor daily

Skills and Position Requirements:

• Customer service skills
• OSHA 10 (preferred)
• Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 60 lbs, climb ladders, enter small space
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Trade school or apprenticeship preferred
• Prior experience working with hand tools and basic math skills
