Spring 2021 Content Writer Internship For College Credit (Virtual)

Overview:

Dase' Cyber Solutions is an information security company whose mission is to assist small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with IT governance, risk management, and meeting industry-related compliance and regulatory standards.

Due to COVID-19, this internship opportunity is a remote position. Best fit candidates will demonstrate the ability to work independently along with their teammates utilizing Slack and email to communicate. Strong communication skills and weekly video meetings are mandatory.

Overall Job Purpose:

The Content Writer Intern will be assisting in writing information security related content that is valuable to small and medium-size businesses. The candidate must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours a week.

• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• A passion for writing and a desire to produce original work.
• Ability to write compelling, engaging copy that can motivate consumers to action.
• Outstanding leadership, communication and time management skills

Key Duties:

• Writing and editing engaging social media posts and website copy.
• Writing and editing content for newsletters, press releases, letters, and reports.
• Developing information security stories.
• Developing marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, digital ads, and promotions.

• Ensuring all written communication and marketing materials are consistent with Dase’ Cyber Solutions’ mission and values.
• Identify local media outlets and community partners.

Ideal Candidate Skills:

• Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student currently pursuing a degree in relevant field such as Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Integrated Marketing Communication, Public Relations, or Digital Information Design.
• Experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Capable of working remotely with a high degree of productivity
• Ability to make a 16-week commitment
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail; strong research skills
