JOB DESCRIPTION
Each year, Neighborhood Tax Centers assists thousands of low income families by preparing their taxes for free at twelve locations in the Houston area. If you are interested helping others while working in a fast paced, stimulating environment, please consider joining our team.
Intake Specialist will greet clients as they enter tax center, assist clients with preparing an intake sheet, and provide translation services as needed in tax center.
Job Description
- Monitor and utilize sign in sheet to provide order for tax preparation
- Review client documents to ensure completion
- Verify tax return is within scope and income limits
- Provide clients with intake paperwork and assist in filling out as needed
- Provide translation services in Spanish as needed by clients
- Ensure front desk is properly stocked with clip boards, intake paperwork, pens, and other necessary supplies
- Other duties as assigned by tax center manager
Candidate must be Bilingual in English and Spanish to be considered
All candidates selected must complete training and certification provided by employer to continue employment
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and long hours from January through April is required
