LSO is now hiring a full-time Sort Manager!
LSO is a $100M+ parcel network delivery company experiencing significant growth with both e-commerce and B2B customers. We are seeking customer service-oriented candidates who work well under pressure and can complete tasks in a safe and orderly fashion. The Sort Manager will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for the sort operation.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for managing all sort activities for the assigned facility, including the inbound, outbound and cross dock operations.
- Ensure that productivity, efficiency targets are meet or exceeded.
- Responsible for all hiring, training and retention activities for sort operations.
- Manage and support Sort Supervisors, Leads, and other staff as assigned.
- Assist in training Sorter personnel on how to perform sort tasks.
- Drive quality metrics to include pick-up scanning, DIM weight accuracy, small scans, Inbound scan at destination and quality assurance practices meet or exceed customer and company expectations.
- Meet the desired sort down times to ensure the linehaul network runs on-time and the preload – P&D dispatch schedule is met.
- Keep and maintain dock engineering plans and adjust to volume and business levels.
- Work collaboratively with Master Contractors and Service Providers to ensure service metrics are supported by dock operating standards of quality.
- Support package volume and growth in the market as necessary.
- Accurately and timely produce required paperwork.
- Work cooperatively in a diverse work environment.
- Maintain warehouse as a safe and clean facility.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- BA/BS University degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management is preferred, but not required; High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 5 years’ experience in progressively responsible positions in a logistics/warehouse setting.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse facility executing all duties.
- Demonstrate excellent time management, dependability, planning, attention to detail, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
- Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of quality control, costs.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.
- Position requires flexibility regarding hours necessary to successfully meet expectations (i.e., weekly hours of 40+ and/or weekend hours).

- Must be able to lift, push, and pull packages weighting up to 75lbs.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn custom software (PICAS).

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
