About This Job

Commerce Bank has developed a robust suite of tools to support and track the processes necessary to service consumer lending payments. Our team is responsible for the continued maintenance of these applications, databases and servers. These applications also need to be upgraded or adjusted to adhere to ongoing regulatory or technical standards. We partner with leaders throughout the organization to develop solutions that meet their servicing needs. This solutions developer will not only be expected to code these applications and databases, they will also provide assistance to other members of the team to come up with creative solutions to meet our businesses goals.

Essential Functions

  • Develop, code, test, deploy and maintain internal web-based applications.

  • Serve as a Business and Systems consultant with internal Business Partners to develop and implement technical solutions to business needs.

  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates Business User needs to provide efficient and innovate solutions

  • Documents business and systems requirements, defines scope and objectives, translates requirements into design specifications, and formulates systems to parallel overall Business Partner strategies

  • Monitors systems and databases for functionality and availability to users, troubleshoots, and responds to user questions

  • Provides ongoing support to Business Partners in resolving technical issues, maintenance, and system enhancements

  • Assist as an IT liaison for Server Set Up and Maintenance

  • Assist on User Access Reviews and Audits for App Codes supported in the Department

  • Provide guidance on Design and Development specifications for Technology Solutions

  • Serve as mentor to other team members and assist in developing their technical support skillset

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Ability to develop and deliver solutions that provide an increase in efficiency and accuracy

  • Familiarity with Agile concepts and workflow or reporting tools such as TFS

  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge or understanding of the following: MS Access, SQL, VB, C#, ASP.NET, .Net Core, Web Services, HTML, SharePoint Business Objects or other Reporting Tools

  • Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish complex tasks

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently with limited oversight

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Intermediate/Strong level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • 4-6+ years’ experience in developing and supporting technical solutions

  • 1+ years’ experience in leading and developing

**Business Line Systems Analyst level will be determined based upon experience**
