Solutions Architect For API And Mobile Platforms

Job Summary

The BetterVet organization is in need of a mobile Solutions Architect that can help coordinate the various development resources (external/internal), and more importantly be the subject matter expert to craft the mobile architecture, drive the technical deliveries to meet the needs of our strategic roadmap for BetterVet’s overarching platform and Customer Experience, which you will help establish. This person would work along with BetterVet’s PMO closely to work out timing, resource demand planning and deadlines.

Skill-Set

• Experience designing, architecting and coding native mobile applications.
• 7-10+ years of API platform and mobile application development experience.
• Experience with architecting API-first architectures which incorporate third-party PaaS solutions.
• Hands-on integration experience in CPaaS, CPDs, and CRM tools such as Twilio, Segment, Hubspot.
• Hands-on experience with NodeJS, MongoDB, React Native API’s, React JS, JavaScript, etc. is a plus.
• Experience developing and consuming restful web services to fetch data for mobile front end and parsing XML and JSON responses.
• Knowledge of responsive web design, social, and other digital platform experiences.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues on mobile applications and in application back-ends and databases
• Strong technology leadership and ability to manage external and internal engineering resources

Responsibilities will include:

• Mobile platform and architecture recommendations Design overall solutions and individual applications
• Develops solution options, recommendations, designs based on product domain roadmaps/requirements, enterprise security standards and reference architectures
• Drives and facilitates the right discussions that identify business solutions in relation to current and future technology landscape
• Maintains the overall platform’s performance, solutions, applications, and supporting third party applications and connections which are required to support BetterVet’s business objectives
• Responsible for documenting detailed technical strategies and architectures which support our overall platform including APIs, mobile apps, and database architectures
• Ensure sound development practices and quality delivery of enterprise mobile solutions
• Lead and mentor development teams
• Work closely with VP of Product Development, Business Analysts, and UX teams
• Advocate and drive adoption of standard methodologies to ensure standardization of solution architecture outputs across the enterprise
• Alignment with corporate strategies through strong business and technical thought leadership
• Effectively manage priorities, work and timelines with little need for escalation
• Take ownership of the solution from end to end and be responsible for translating brand requirements into a robust, and scalable mobile solution

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
