We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Software Tester I.
iFIT’s Testing Department is looking for full-time Software Testers ready to join our team and get to work. An ideal candidate brings some knowledge/experience with them but more importantly is teachable and hungry to learn more. This position is responsible for testing our software products, diagnosing issues, collaborating with others to find solutions, and documenting the results of tests. Independent and disciplined work ethic, communication, and analytical skills are required. Software Testers will work on a team of testers and work with product owners, managers, and developers to ensure we are delivering high quality products to customers.
THIS POSITION IS A COMBINATION OF ONSITE AND REMOTE. Based on Project Manager/Company need, employees will be expected to come onsite when needed to exchange, replace, or pick up equipment or perform certain testing responsibilities only done onsite.
This is a FULL-TIME position. Employees are expected to work 40 HOURS per week within the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
*WILL REQUIRE RELOCATION TO LOGAN, UT (or within reasonable driving distance to Logan).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Test basic features of new software releases using predefined test runs.
Works on regression, black box, smoke, and interface testing.
Collaborate on developing and executing test cases.
Documenting test results and following through to a resolution.
Communicating with developers to resolve and debug issues.
Identify, isolate, and communicate bugs effectively and efficiently.
Reports to a team lead.
Other duties may be assigned.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
0-5 years of testing experience required.
High school diploma required. Further education in related fields is strongly preferred.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Fluent in basics of computers, google docs, spreadsheets, email, and browser.
Comfortable using smartphones and tablets for both iOS and Android
Self-Motivated - able to work independently and be trusted to complete daily tasks.
Analytical and creative problem- solving skills
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions presented orally, written, diagram or scheduling form
Experience with test case and bug tracking systems - JIRA and Testrail (Preferred).
Experience performing validation tests from written and/or verbal instructions (Preferred).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT?ENVIRONMENT
Employees must be able to sit for long periods of time.
Employees must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
