What you will do: *

The Software Build Administrator is a new role at eXp Realty. The primary function for this position is managing the build and release process for software developed across multiple applications and platforms. This includes generating, installing and troubleshooting builds, and working closely with developers and testers working in the same code base with varying release schedules.

How you will make an impact:

  • Manage the application build and release process as an integral part of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Develop scripts to build and deploy software releases
  • Conduct preliminary checkout of builds, troubleshoot issues, and work with team members as needed to achieve issue resolution
  • Oversee maintenance and integrity of source code library
  • Plan and manage build release activities and coordinate across multi-site team
  • Generate and maintain software build procedure documentation
  • Work with development and QA team to ensure use of best practices in source code branching, merges and versioning.
  • Define, update and maintain environment and software build procedure documentation.
  • Drive resolution for all merge issues encountered
  • Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across internal business and clients.
  • Continually work toward making improvements in the release process.
  • Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
  • Train and mentor team members on processes and technologies used to support development and releases.
  • Negotiate, plan and manage all deployment activities on lower environments.
  • Assist in day to day SCM activities, including code merging, versioning and general code maintenance.
  • Provide build and deployment status to the teams.

How you will grab our attention:

  • Minimum 3 years of software build/CM experience
  • Solid understanding of CM best practices and tools
  • Understanding of source control, branching and merge strategies.
  • Experience with SVN is a plus.
  • Experience with build automation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with agile software development processes.
  • Experience with Mendix or other low-code platform branch/merging strategies is a plus
  • Experience with mobile/app store releases a plus

  • BA/BS in computer engineering or relevant experience
