Role Responsibilities:

Deliver Quality Software

• Work as a member of an agile, interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality software on a regular cadence.

• Gather information to help formulate acceptance criteria, be a user advocate, and be comfortable challenging and discussing the intent of stories to surface edge cases and improve outcomes.

• Investigate the cause of issues in testing environment as well as production environment

• Contribute to manual and automated testing suites to ensure future software stability.

Drive Continuous Improvement

• Develop deep knowledge of the product.

• Be a creative thinker and problem solver, collaborate with team members and the Boomi community. We welcome people who are willing to challenge established norms and be a self-starter.

• Look for opportunities to enhance the product and the process. We look for people who can contribute to R&D’s overall quality of life in the course of doing their standard day-to-day work.

Requirements:

General Experience and Education

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in software quality assurance and testing

• BS or MS degree in Engineering or Computer Science

Testing Experience

• Should have the ability to create and manage manual and automated tests

• Experience with web application testing and knowledge of testing API and Web Services

• Basic knowledge of SQL queries and Linux commands

• Analytical skills to deduce the cause of issues in testing environment as well as production environment

• Familiarity with object oriented programming concepts

Collaboration

• Knowledge of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle

• Ability to work and collaborate in a team based environment

• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continous Deployment testing environments

• Implement best practices in testing procedures and provide mentoring

• Should identify areas of improvement within current QA practices and provide constructive feedback

Preferences:

• Application Integration and/or Data Integration (ETL) knowledge is a plus

• Experience scripting automated tests (i.e. Selenium WebDriver preferred)
