Software Engineer

Job Summary: Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer to support U.S Army Soldier Protection & Survivability Directorate (SPSD) Combat Capabilities and Development Command Soldier Center (CCDC SC) contract in Natick, MA. This contract conducts research and development to advance innovative materials for the protective clothing and individual equipment worn by the Solider.
In this role you will:

• Perform subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, subsystem and system integration, and test for a subsystem.
• Participate in software requirements review, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness review, and software acceptance reviews.
• Support proposal efforts.
• Design, write, test, deploy and support software code, as assigned.
• Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
• Interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring coordinated activity across organizational lines.
• Represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical problems associated with specific projects.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a U.S citizen.
• Must possess a valid Secret security clearance.
• A Bachelor degree in a related technical discipline (e.g., BSEE, BSCS) or equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience are required.
• Excellent communications and analytical skills required.
• This position is part of a contract transition - must currently work for Soldier Protection & Survivability Directorate (SPSD) Combat Capabilities and Development Command Soldier Center (CCDC SC) contract to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's desired Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
