Job Description

Work is located at Fort Huachuca, AZ near lovely Sierra Vista, AZ.

Job Description:

M-F, 40 hours/week average, office environment, normal office hours.

Leads multiple small-to-medium-sized projects concurrently with little oversight and a high level of autonomy. Analyze technical requirements, create designs, develop and test applications and platforms. Works closely with GOV Project Managers in providing implementation estimates, identifying scope changes and risks, and building project plans. Perform code reviews for other developers. Has a role in process design and requirement gathering. Provides consistently good and maintainable code and needs little syntax/convention feedback. Modifies, develops, writes, and assists with design of software applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Tests applications to assure accuracy, integrity, and interoperability to achieve specified functionality and resolve reported bugs and correct errors. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Ensures smooth and efficient implementation and integration between technical and functional system requirements.

Experience:

Five (5) years of software engineering experience.

Extremely proficient in Java, Python, and Jython, and Linux and Windows operating systems. Extremely skilled in web-oriented software development, cloud- based application development and Infrastructure as Code such as Docker and Kubernetes; experience with high-level languages such as: JAVA, Python, C#, HTML, Perl; experience with React, Angular, SQLAlchemy, Flask, or similar frameworks, and an understanding of virtualization. Familiar with version control using Git, GitLab, GitHub or Di2E and an understanding of the Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipeline. Must have an experience with MySQL databases. Knowledge of web GIS programming and strong understanding of API design and different API standards.

Security Clearance - Certifications:

  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to receive a TS SCI clearance (Nemean will sponsor)
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e. Security+ or equivalent)
