Job Description

Our DevRel Platform team is a brand new group within Education+DevRel Platforms. This group leads the MongoDB Developer Hub which is home for all developer focused content and various programs. The developer hub uses python, Node.js, ReactJS and it's in the growth phase.

About You

You are a product-focused engineer who is adept at crafting maintainable code. You work well in a team and have the expertise to get the job done while remaining respectful in your approach. You are genuinely interested in finding the best solution for users and earnestly consider and adapt to differing viewpoints.

The right candidate for this role will have
  • Experienced Full Stack Developer
  • At least 3 years experience writing code for web-applications using python, nodejs, react or similar web application solution technologies.
  • Experience with building dynamic as well as static and progressive web applications.
  • A desire to learn and help shape our coding practices
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Experience in actively participating in constructive and respectful code reviews
  • The ability to perform complex programming tasks and make well-reasoned design decisions and tradeoffs
  • Experience with Jamstack is not necessary but will be a big plus
Success MeasuresWithin 3 months
  • You're familiar with our codebase, our development practices, our tools, and processes.
  • You are participating in team meetings, product grooming sessions, design, architecture discussions and sprint meetings.
  • You've met with all of your team members and are starting to learn their interests, strengths, and areas for development.
  • You will have contributed to at least one major project
Within 6 months
  • Taken on a well scoped project
  • Given a well defined task, you can drive it to completion independently
Within 12 months
  • You've developed and shipped a project from concept to production
