Software Architect / Development Manager

Location: Fresno, CA

Provide a high quality architecture and development oversight for Abecas Insight product. This includes setting strategic direction architecturally, setting coding standards and design patterns, technology review, communicating the architecture internally and externally, and ensuring that the architecture supports customer requirements.

• Define the overall system architecture
• Manage the development team
• Contribute in a development capacity
• Ensure the quality of the product by providing for a mature architecture that supports the customer requirements, supports the rapid development of software to meet these requirements, has high performance and scalability standards, and is affordably maintainable
• Apply industry standards, best practices, and personal experience to enhance the architecture
• Participate in the decision making process with regards to technology and framework that is used in the software
• Working with Senior Management, set strategic direction for product development and influence architecture and product roadmaps
• Provision the development environment and evaluate development tools
• Assist with continuous integration and release management
• Ensure that the software development process is followed
• Define coding guidelines and design patterns
• Requirements analysis
• Train and mentor developers
• Support training professional services, support, pre-sales, and other organizations internally and externally
• Perform design and code reviews
• Assist in prioritizing development efforts
• Work with QA function to ensure a high quality software product
• Guide support to aid in the proper and expedient resolution of customer problems
• Work with sales and pre-sales to educate and help win customer engagements
• Consult professional services group to help ensure successful customer deployments
• Communicate the architecture, product direction, and feature functionality to teams both internally and externally
• Assist with estimates and evaluation of project scope
• Evaluate changes and enhancements to the solution architecture to determine the overall impact
• Other duties as assigned.

• BS Computer Science degree required. MS in Computer Science highly desired.
• 10+ years of experience development, integrating and supporting ABECAS Insight product.
• 5+ years in .NET C#, Delphi 4, Delphi 7, Coldfusion, Javascript, T-Sql development experience.
• 5+ years EDI mapping and RF development experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles highly desired.
