Position Summary:
The Social Media Manager is a collaborative role that works with the Marketing and Communications team and other teams within EVgo to develop and maintain a robust social media presence for EVgo. This role will play a vital part in continuing to grow our social media following, engage current customers and inspire prospective customers to join the EVgo network as well as build brand awareness and thought leadership with our B2B audiences (e.g., policy, automotive, site hosts, etc.). Critical thinking and a customer-service oriented mindset are key to success in this role, as well as strong reporting and analytical skills. The Social Media Manager will own and implement compelling content across all EVgo’s social media channels, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. This role is also responsible for social listening and responding to customer questions and comments in collaboration with the customer service team.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing and managing EVgo organic social media campaigns
- Maintaining and updating content calendar
- Writing high-quality content across all social media channels
- Growing EVgo’s social media presence by maintaining a solid online presence
- Monitoring the company's brand on social media
- Building brand awareness by engaging relevant influencers
- Managing our online communities to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement
- Responding to questions and comments on each of EVgo’s channels
- Coordinating with the Customer Service team to resolve any tricky questions or customer complaints via social media
- Analyzing data and reporting on social media campaign ORKs
Required Skills and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field
- 3-4 years of social media marketing experience, including creating, publishing, and monitoring campaigns across a variety of social media channels
- Experience developing B2C social media content, B2B experience a plus
- Experience working on cross-functional teams
- Ability to find the right voice for each social media platform
- Ability to measure the success of campaigns, analyze data and share insights
- Experience with Meltwater platform a plus
- Experience in the automotive or energy industry a plus
- Interested in sustainability or EV charging
