Description: Starting Pay: $18.50 per hour
Status: Seasonal-Hourly (Non-Exempt)
As the Snow Sports Training Supervisor, you will work with the Snow Sports Management team to lead, train and guide Instructors to provide a premiere quality guest experience. This position will develop our ski/snowboard training culture to deliver revenue contributions and provide a fulfilling experience for both our staff and guests.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with Snow Sports management team to create a guest centered training strategy
  • Train staff to set up learning areas for optimal learning: Aces Wild Adventure Trails, Pika magic carpet and Molly Hogan Arena
  • Independently develop and drive business opportunities to enhance the guest experience that is forward thinking and industry reaching
  • Lead and develop a guest centered culture that supports Arapahoe Basin Vision and Strategy
  • Other duties as assigned

. Requirements: Education Requirements:

  • PSIA or AASI Level 3 Certification
  • PSIA/AASI Children Specialist 2 Certification
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years of other relevant professional training

Experience Requirements:

  • 3 years Snow Sports Instruction
  • 2 years supervisory experience

Skills Required:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Working knowledge of RTP or equivalent scheduling and inventory software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed while performing multiple tasks

Physical Requirements:

  • Instructors must be able to ski, ride, walk, kneel, crawl, carry, reach, stand, stoop, squat and lift equipment or students up to 35lbs while actively teaching and coaching students for the duration of the lesson to complete all daily job duties.
  • Ability to withstand a high-altitude environment at all times.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be available weekends and holidays
  • Must provide own ski or snowboard equipment and other necessary gear to work outside in a high alpine, snow, cold environment.

Work Environment:

  • Most time will be spent outside in a high altitude, high alpine snowy environment. Instructors usually wear ski/snowboard equipment for the duration of their shift and are on their feet interacting with customers most of the day.
