Provides operations leadership and improvement focus for warehouse operations including transportation and packaging operations driving results, creating and monitoring measures, providing motivation, and setting expectations in safety, quality, production and cost.
Communicates with customers, suppliers, shop floor, stakeholders, and staff.
Leads annual operating plan, forecasts, and other measurements for Parts Distribution Center operations.
Manage and develop supply chain capability; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.
Set the aim for the organization and ensure individual work plans are consistent with supply chain initiatives.
Responsible for ensuring Cummins values are demonstrated in the site. This includes championing diversity, community involvement and right environment initiatives.
Manage daily operations across functions to ensure a dependable and efficient supply chain.
Lead continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence direction and leverage common processes tools, and information systems.
Support Corporate Supply Chain initiatives and lead the cross Business Unit planning processes to ensure intra-company alignment.
Create common supply chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships.
Approach daily problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets.
Develop, understand and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators.
Analyze operational trends and develop corrective action plans.
Address supply chain failures promptly to ensure operations stability; escalate as appropriate.
Prepare and manage an annual operating plan including expense resources, and capital.
Manage, coach, and develop staff; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning. Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related subject required. MBA preferred.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Moderate level of relevant work experience required.Operations and Leadership Responsibility for our Rocky MountLogistics Center which supports Rocky Mount Engine plant in Whitakers, NC. Thisrole will be based out of RMLC in Rocky Mount, NC. The site totals 375,000square feet with approx. 150 3PL and contractors. Responsibilities include(but not limited to):
- Safety(incidence rate)
- Quality(Site DPMO)
- Delivery(Plant Downtime, warehouse performance,)
- InventoryControl (accuracy, shrink and Cycle counts)
- Total3PL operating cost (Cost per Engine, flex AOP $)
· Facility Management (contractors on site,Security)
Accountable for MSA (Master Service Agreement) commitmentsfor the 3PL partner. Responsible for jointly developing &executing business strategies with other key stakeholders within RMEPresponsible for Materials, Operations and Transportation.
Functional /Technical Skills Required
- Applicantsneed significant leadership experience in Operations and Materials Management
- Strongcross-functional and leadership experience.
- Demonstratedability to lead and develop large teams.
· Project Management skills preferred
· 6S experience preferred to partner with 3PL oncontinuous improvement initiatives.
· SQL and database knowledge is preferred.
- Strongfunctional knowledge of warehousing best practices and technology.
- Experiencemanaging 3PL providers.
