Illumination Foundation (IF) is a growing non-profit organization dedicated towards disrupting the cycle of homelessness by providing targeted, interdisciplinary services in our recuperative care centers, emergency shelters, housing services and children's and family programs. IF currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro-communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.

Job Description:

Illumination Foundation is hiring for Site Assistants who will join our mission to make a difference in our community in a rewarding work environment by providing direct assistance to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance and support to clients’ needs for daily living

• Assist in the general upkeep and cleanliness of the facility.

• Transport clients in a company vehicle to appointments and general program activities

• Ensure client safety and welfare by providing clients with house rules, conducting check-ins, and performing walk-through of dorm areas

• Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with clients

• Assist with meal preparation and meal service

Physical Demands:

The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job and to move or lift up to 35 pounds

• Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.

Minimum Qualifications/Preferred Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• One year minimum previous employment

• One year residential or supported living field experience

• Valid CA Driver’s License

• Experience working with the homeless population (preferred)

• Bi-lingual (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
