Job Description
Kuehne+Nagel is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk who is dependable, a team player, and enjoys working in a fast paced environment!Your RoleThe Shipping/Receiving Clerk utilizes Warehouse Management Systems to work with receivers to supply paperwork and generate reporting for all receiving activities.Your Responsibilities
  • Follows all inbound and outbound processes, work instructions and/or standard operating procedures
  • Validates and records inbound and outbound data manually and systematically (WMS)
  • Maintains records of all outgoing and incoming shipments
  • Ensures accuracy, prepares and generates pick list, packing list, POD recovery, etc. for inbound or outbound activities
  • Consolidates shipping orders
  • Effectively communicates with carriers, customer, operations and management
  • Reports concerns or issues immediately to management
  • Reports damages and discrepancies
  • Performs clerical duties such as filing, inbound/outbound phone calls, use of radio, data entry, etc.
  • Responds to emails with strong sense of office etiquette
  • Assist in all areas as and when required to meet operational needs
  • Verifies and receives product into inventory
  • May be required to lift up to 50lbs
  • Performs warehouse duties and supports operations with receiving, unloading, inspecting, storing, palletizing, etc. duties
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, work instructions and programs such as 5S, QSHE and KN Behaviors and others
  • Supports other departments within the facility as required
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Knowledge of Windows-based order entry system
  • A minimum of 2 (two) years experience in customer service
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with AS400 or any Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience is highly desired
  • Exercises initiative in following up on pending issues and orders
  • Ability to effectively solve problems
  • Ability to establish priorities and multi task
  • Must have intermediate to advance knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
