JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing the operational details associated with the shipping department. This includes investor delivery workflow management, allocation of loans to individual shippers, delivering loans, images, and collateral packages to investors, monitor and resolve investor purchase suspense items, monitor and resolve outstanding trailing documents. The Shipping Supervisor must also have a working relationship with investor, note custodian, and client contacts and engage in frequent communication to stay abreast of investor changes, turn-times, etc. The Shipping Supervisor is also responsible for providing direction and training to shippers and resolving intradepartmental conflicts. Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides effective delegation of workflow, and provides necessary training and coaching, as well as ongoing support to new team members.
  • Monitors daily shipping requests and allocates/assigns workload to individual shippers.
  • Manage the loan pipeline to ensure collateral packages are delivered to investors in a timely manner, meeting lock deadlines and clients’ satisfaction.
  • Monitors the Wet Collateral report and follow up on wet loans status approaching permissible period on a daily basis. Escalate issues to Management as needed.
  • Monitors, tracks resolves outstanding trailing documents. Addresses delays or lost collateral in a timely fashion and ensures Management is informed of extended delays.
  • Engage in frequent communication with client’s shipping team to keep abreast of investor pertinent changes.
  • Oversee loans held at various note custodians; reviews aggregate reports, review and provide bailee letters when requested.
  • Ensure collateral imaging is completed and saved to the appropriate the loan folder/ file to facilitate audit requests and satisfy bank retention policy.
  • Monitor and measure shipping staff performance in order to provide input in areas of staffing and disciplinary actions.
  • Facilitates training and problem resolution for staff in regards to issues that arise through daily workflow activities and/or audit findings.
  • Assist with external and internal auditors’ requests.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), FHA (Fair Housing Act), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Bank Secrecy Act in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Customer Information Program, Right to Financial Privacy Act (state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act.
  • Knowledgeable in all functions associated with origination, processing and closing.
  • Intermediate level of work experience, knowledge and training in loan servicing activities and terminology.
  • Intermediate knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank lending policies.
  • Intermediate knowledge of title policies and related loan regulations such as RESPA, HMDA and other Bank lending policies.
  • Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs.
  • Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
  • Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with general supervision while performing duties
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years working in a Residential Loan Processing environment
