Job Description
- Support production departments by retrieving needed raw materials and delivering them to production as well as removing finished products to storage.
- Staging products for shipment in accordance with product rotation guidelines (FIFO)
- Methodically loading or unloading trailers according to plant inbound load policies
- Accurately maintaining inventories of products production and accounting.
- Input all received items into the SAP system and tag and label all items.
- Verify overall condition of inbound trucks when unloading (seal, temperature, damage to trailer, etc.
- Unload shipment onto dock and compare packing slip to shipment (weight, count and codes) and record results on receiver.
- Receive product into SAP, perform quality functions and label combos and pallets with a secure batch number.
- Follow all guidelines set by OSI Food Safety and Security Guidelines.
- Complete a checklist of forklift maintenance: oil leaks, horn, mast-hydraulic spills, test drive all functions.
- Recharge walker/forklift battery at the end of the shift.
- Weigh, record and dump all inedible product onto collection truck.
- Audit inventory as needed.
- Operate stretch wrapper
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Required Forklift Operator Certification
- Basic computer knowledge and be familiar with SAP
- Must be willing to work any shift assigned.
- Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE, with standard office equipment available along with plant manufacturing environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
