Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Virginia MetalFab is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to fill the role of a Shipping & Receiving Clerk.

WHO YOU ARE IN THIS ROLE

As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk you will be a part of an AWESOME shop team and will be responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received, pack products in shipping containers, develop mailing labels and shipping documents, ensure all orders have been filled correctly, and physically load and unload shipments.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, by hand or using other equipment.
• Unloading/loading metal and other materials.
• Pulling material off shelves and putting material away using a ladder.
• Packaging material into boxes.
• Read, create, and customize work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work.
• Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
• Perform other duties as needed.
• Operate computers (including hardware and software) to enter data, make work orders, or process information.

SHIFT

Monday – Thursday: 6 a.m. – 4 p.m.

• 
  HS diploma or equivalent.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to wear various forms of PPE.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or carry up to 100 lb.
• Must be able to frequently push and/or pull up to 100 lb.
• Computer skills - MS Suite, basic computer skills.
• Certifications and Licenses - Forklift
• Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
