Job Description

This is a full-time position working M-F 8am - 4:30pm. The position will be a dual role working in Shipping and Warehouse departments.

Shipping Responsibilities 50%

  • Post & Pick completed orders
  • Assure orders are packaged and handled correctly.
  • Process order through shipping software or schedule freight pick up
  • o UPS WorldShip or FedEx Manager
  • Make accurate and timely transactions in QAD
  • o Monitor freight charges being imported
  • o Enter freight charges as needed
  • o Mark order as shipped
  • Stage processed orders for daily pickup
  • Interact with drivers
  • Keep storage area neat, clean and free of debris
  • Interact with Customer Service
  • o Monitor any daily priorities
  • Maintains proper stock of shipping supplies
  • Other duties as assigned (in Columbus daily operating supply replenishment to productions rooms, also handles the recycling program &-schedule pick up) Assist with order work in productions rooms in limited capacity, prepping, boxing, and flagging or as needed

Warehouse Responsibilities 50%

  • Continuation of first shift warehouse coordinator responsibilities
  • Maintains neat, orderly, FDA compliant warehouse
  • Responsible for organizing warehouse space; adhering to storage principles and recommending improvements that optimize the use of warehouse space and equipment
  • Receives and accurately warehouses daily supplies and shipments from vendors
  • Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse and coordinating inventory/supply transfers with related departments
  • Helps to maintain accurate inventory of packaging materials
  • Helps to maintain accurate inventory of commercial products
  • Assists with weekly, monthly, & quarterly cycle counts and inventories
  • Write and/or review any warehouse complaints and assists with CAPA incident investigations
  • Resolves issues independently or with appropriate support person
  • Daily compliance to standard operating procedures in accordance to cGMP guidelines and other regulatory standards
  • Follows safety procedures and policies
  • Performs duties related to training of new employees
  • Assist with order work in productions rooms in limited capacity, prepping, boxing, and flagging or as needed

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment - flexible
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Lift up to 100 lbs. with pallet jack; ability to physically lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing, stooping, bending, 80%
  • Prior Warehouse/Shipper related experiences preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Fork Truck License helpful, desired
  • Team player
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work between two departments
