Where the Chemistry Happens…
Shipping and Receiving Supervisor (2002929) – Livonia, MI
Be responsible for all shipping and receiving activities on the site. Supervise up to 6 employees across all shifts, supported by the shift supervisor on off-shifts. Ensure that all customer labelling and shipping requirements are met. Coordinate with Materials Coordinator, Planners, and Shift Supervisors to ensure that products are ready in time for shipment prep and loading. Make sure all SAP shipping transactions are completed on time. Work with site Learning and Development Coordinator to design and deliver appropriate and necessary training to all site operators who are qualified to work in the Shipping Department.

Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting, bending, and twisting of various range and motion requiring physical exertion when handling material, equipment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to stand and walk in work environment
Frequent use of stairs required. Occasional use of respiratory protection including air purifying, air supplied, and self-contained air supplied respirators. Must pass fit test requirements for respiratory protection

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Ingredients for Success: What We Look For In You…

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
5 years of warehouse and shipping experience required
3 years of supervisory experience required
2 years of SAP experience is required

Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree or higher is preferred
Experience in batch production environment is preferred
Solid written and oral communication skills Demonstrated leadership skills, strong interpersonal understanding, demonstrated conflict management, and strong entrepreneurial action
Strong safety orientation Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage workflow efficiently Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts is a plus
