Shipping And Receiving Clerk

RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS NEEDED

• Print daily orders and cross-check with computer software to ensure accuracy for shipping
• Prepare and print shipping labels based off of orders from pick slips
• Assemble and fill boxes and crates with items that need to be shipped
• Affix proper postage to each package in preparation for shipping
• Track inventory and report any shortages to proper personnel so we can update our system
• Process orders and ship based off of provided Pick Slips (e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
• Contact carrier and schedule shipping for each package
• Operate a forklift as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed

• Understanding of part numbers, serial numbers, Bill of Ladings and Commercial Invoices

Experience

3+ years’ experience preferred of shipping/receiving

UPS and FedEx software experience

Forklift certified

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years' experience in warehouse shipping environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
• Capable of working a consistent schedule starting at 8:00am
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to assemble skids and palettization of machinery
• Proficient with standard tools (e.g. Hammer, Drills and Saws,)
• Ability to operate a sit down and stand up Fork Lift
