Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC) is seeking candidates for the following position in our Hoboken, NJ office:

SharePoint Framework / Digital Developer

What can you expect?

The SharePoint / Digital developer works across all aspects of our employee portal and Digital Workplace technologies. This includes development of code based on the SharePoint Framework as well as front end developmne utilizing HTML, JavaScript (JS) and/or CSS code. The canidate may also be involved in other areas of Microsoft 365 including Power Apps and Workflows as well as developing web services and APIs.

We will count on you to:

• Maintain, enhance and construct new web applications in a variety of languages and frameworks/libraries (JavaScript, React, jQuery, l, HTML, CSS, SaaS, etc.) for our SharePoint Online portal and Microsoft 365 digital workplace
• Implement mobile-first, responsive design code to ensure compatibility across IOS and Android phones and tablets
• Build reusablecode and libraries that can be shared across multiple applications
• Ensure the technical feasibility of code through Agile prototyping and working closely with design team
• Suggest new innovative code and technical solutions in line with consumer-grade applications
• Document code and workflows
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Test functionality of websites in various browsers and on various mobile devices for quality assurance (iOS and Android platforms)
• Participate in requirements meetings and technical demos with end-users and stakeholders at all levels

What you need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a digital environment
• Strong CSS/SCSS, HTML layout, semantic markup, accessibility (WCAG 2.0, Section 508, ADA etc.)
• Experience with JavaScript & React (latest version) required
• Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft 365
• SharePoint Framework (SPFx) a plus
• Git, TypeScript, Agile preferred
• Knowledge of graphic and responsive design principles and usability
