About the Role

As a central member of the Employee Relations & Engagement Operations team, the Severance Coordinator will support company efforts to maintain a positive employee relations environment and uphold company culture. The Severance Coordinator is responsible for supporting key department work streams: Severance Administration and Processing, Severance Database Management, Disaster Relief, Labor Relations, ER Analysis and Reporting, and department projects.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a member of the Employee Relations Operations team and utilize SME and institutional knowledge in response to inquiries on Gap Inc. severance practices and procedures to ensure consistency and continuity in service level and employee experience
  • Responsible to manage the administration of the Gap Inc. severance program and database across all Brands and Functions for the Standard and Executive Plans (NA); including implementation and execution against severance strategy, policy, and process; coordination and communication across multiple cross functional teams (e.g., HR, Legal, Finance and Payroll)
  • Produce and deliver highly confidential and sensitive documentation and information related to all levels of the organization
  • Provide targeted, specific severance program/policy guidance to HR business partners across the organization
  • Vendor management related to COBRA and Outplacement services
  • Ensure compliance with company records retention requirements for all severance documents
  • Provide operational support to additional department workstreams, including Disaster Relief, Labor Relations, ER Education, ER Analysis and Reporting, and other ad hoc department projects
Who You Are
  • Basic knowledge of Expertise in US employment law
  • Technical knowledge of methods in HR/ER Operations and understanding of Gap Inc./ER systems such as Workday, Access Database, SharePoint (Folio); vendors’ systems, such as Whistleblower Hotlines and Case Management Database/Systems
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel (Pivot tables and Advance Array Formulas), Word, PowerPoint and MS Access
  • High level of detail orientation and ability to manage complex, time sensitive projects; recognize and act on inconsistencies in data or results
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment focused on customer service, coordination, and execution
