Service Technician
Position Type: Full-Time Location: Knoxville
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly/Salary: Salary
Reports To: Service Manager Department: Technical Service
Travel Requirements: Up to 90% Starting Pay Range:

For this position the employee will get a company supplied truck, cell phone, and company credit card.
Work Description:
- Schedule & execute service calls in customer facilities to install, test, and repair equipment
- Educate customers on equipment operation, adjustments, preventative maintenance, safety regulations and provide general customer service
- Maintain records of service calls, training, and expenses
- Maintain accurate parts and tool inventory and related records
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school degree or GED equivalent required
- 3+ years of experience installing, maintaining, and/or repairing industrial equipment
- Ability to interpret blueprints and instructional drawings preferred – aptitude to learn this skill is required
- Mechanical skills/aptitude and ability to use hand tools required
- Comprehension of machine tolerance required
- Excellent communication skills required (verbal, interpersonal, and written)
- Basic computer skills required
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record for insurability by commercial carrier required
- Willingness to outside of normal business hours and/or overtime when needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. over 2/3 of workday
- Ability to stand and walk up to 2/3 of workday
- Ability to sit up to 2/3 of workday (driving)
- Ability to hear
- Close, distance, and peripheral vision
- Fine motor skills required to operate, install, and repair small parts and assemblies over 2/3 of workday
- Other physical activity may include standing, climbing, stooping, bending, reaching, and frequent use of hands and fingers up to 2/3 of workday
