Join the Players Family! We are seeking servers to join our tight-knit team. Players Sports Grill & Arcade and The Luau Lounge is an independent, casual, high volume waterfront restaurant on Pier 39. We are seeking self-motivated, upbeat, and friendly team mates! We will train you if you don't have prior experience. PERFECT JOB TO PUT YOU THROUGH COLLEGE!!! WE WILL WORK AROUND YOUR SCHOOL SCHEDULE.

We are looking for multi-taskers who know how to welcome and greet guests and make them feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them. Inform guests of specials and menu changes, make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy, up-sell food and beverage items using suggestive selling techniques (i.e. daily specials, cocktails, appetizers, entrees, desserts, and after dinner beverages). Have thorough knowledge of the menu and answer questions about our food, beverages (including specialty cocktails), and other restaurant functions, services and arcade games. Must be able to turn tables fast and love working in customer service. Other duties include:

-Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
-Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our Digital Dining point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.
-Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.
-Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
-Maintain clean service areas. Pre-bus and maintain tables.
-Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
-Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
-Be a Team Player, ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.
-Be ready and willing to assist bus person with clearing and resetting tables.
-Be ready and willing to assist host with seating customers, presenting menus and making reservations.
-Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
-Train and guide other Servers as requested by your Manager
-Perform other tasks as assigned by your Manager

-Have the ability to develop positive working relationships with all restaurant personnel and work as part of a team by helping others as needed or requested
-Have the ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other team members
-Have the ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times and display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments
-Be able to exhibit a cheerful and helpful attitude, and provide exceptional customer service

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.99 per hour
