Job Description

Overview:

SEO Specialist - Content Writer - Social Media Marketing - Creative Writing - Advertising

We’re looking for an SEO and content specialist to help guide new content creation as well as leverage and refresh our existing content. As a SEO Copywriter you will be joining the marketing team to provide ongoing copywriting work for various projects including product, social, email and web copy. You will also work collaboratively with the team to help make a lasting impact on how people experience our brands through these various channels.

Pay: $45,000 to $60,000 annually

Location: Pasadena, CA

Duties:

  • Write, copy and edit regularly for all outgoing marketing and communications including but not limited to: landing pages, social media posts, website copy and promo material
  • Brainstorm and develop the initial language for marketing campaigns as they take shape, whether focused on product releases, CSR initiatives, company news, etc.
  • Optimize and increase site traffic through content pieces tailored for SEO traffic
  • Ideate on content that will build the brand and drive engagement, in partnership with rest of content team (social, content manager, even designers)
  • Shape language and tone used in sales emails, banners and brochures
  • Create and oversee reports on content
  • Monitor metrics related to our content, like web traffic and conversion rates
  • Research industry-related topics and identify gaps in our content

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of proven experience as a copywriter or related role
  • Expertise knowledge of online content strategy and creation
  • 1-2 years of experience with SEO
  • Cannabis, CBD or CPG industry experience preferred
  • BA in marketing, English, journalism or related field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
