Senior UX Designer - Remote

Summary: The Senior UX Designer helps define the user experience for our Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) and Ancillary Benefit Management (ABM) application as well as our public-facing corporate website and mobile solutions. In this role, the Senior UX Designer will collaborate and negotiate with Healthesystems’ User Researcher, Product Management, Architecture, Product Owners, and Scrum teams to wireframe, mock, design, and specify new features and functions for our technology solutions. The role is also responsible for front-end web development in support of our corporate website and supervises the marketing Web Developer.

• Lead the design effort for specific application features from requirements gathering to design, specifications, and implementation, presenting creative solutions to improve and simplify the experience for our end users.

• Collaborate with the User Researcher to apply research findings with UX best practice to articulate a design that meets and exceeds requirements.

• Use Personas, scenarios, and storyboards to generate, assess and communicate about solutions.

• Work with the Product Management team to articulate design strategy and wireframe work and screen flows based on product requirements.

• Join Scrum teams to collaborate with team members and Scrum Masters in the execution of product features.

• Create and present User Interface wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

• Support Marketing design and web development efforts, supervising and supporting the Web Developer role.

• Champion design quality, usability and user-centered design.

Qualifications/Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a relevant field (Human Computer Interaction (HCI), graphic, interactive or communication design), or equivalent combination of education and experience; plus 5+ years of experience as a User Experience, visual or interaction designer.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience leading projects or product design efforts from concept through execution.
• A strong portfolio including examples showing process and final design outcome.
• Experience working with Scrum teams, Product Owners, and Product Management teams across multiple locations.
• Experience working on web-based applications and Agile software development.
• Be comfortable working within an Agile development process.
• Experience with responsive web design.
• Ability to work at varying levels of fidelity, from whiteboard to pixels.
• Familiar with front end development and UI design, including HTML5, CSS, and Javascript frameworks.
• Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong experience with wireframing and prototyping tools such as XD, Sketch, and Figma
• Strong knowledge of User Interface frameworks and systems, such as Bootstrap and Material Design
• Experience with user testing, user interviews, and information architecture.
• Experience with Mobile app development is considered a plus.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Duties are performed primarily in a home office setting utilizing computer equipment. Travel to attend meetings and visit locations throughout the country may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
