Job Description
Overview : Medpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO). We provide Phase I-IV clinical development services to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, employing approximately 3,500 people across almost 40 countries.Responsibilities :
  • Assist in preparation of US, State & Foreign Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740). This includes assisting in the preparation of numerous book vs. tax differences;
  • Assist in review of foreign income tax returns and reconciliation of US GAAP financials to local statutory tax returns;
  • Gather supporting documents to prepare the Medpace Federal, State & Local income tax returns;
  • Assist in gathering supporting documents for Federal, State & International audits by tax authorities;
  • Assist Tax Manager/Director on various tax related projects (such as transfer pricing, tax planning initiatives, estimated tax calculations, R&D tax benefits and other tax incentives);
  • Research changes in tax legislation and its potential impact to Medpace;
  • Assist in compliance with SOX controls for the tax department;
  • May be responsible for other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5 years tax experience;
  • Must be able to collaborate in a team environment;
  • Demonstrate ability to present relevant information and facilitate a meeting;
  • Excellent analytical skills with high levels of accuracy;
  • Excellent theoretical and practical grasp of tax and other regulatory principles and how they apply to the business;
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
