Senior SDET Engineer

Title: Senior SDET Engineer / Java Consultant
Location: Remote through COVID then 100% on-site. Washington state.
Duration: 1 year plus.

Brief Description:
Working as part of the team that owns the testing of multiple apps (web, Mobile, APIs).

Responsibilities:
Will be undertaking integration of apps, servers and other properties of client under its domain.
Developing automation frameworks, test scripts and maintenance of software automation frameworks.
Development of source code and execution of automated test cases and QA processes
Executes automation test strategy that promotes best automation approach (API, UI, Mobile App), and development of toolset to enhance manual test efforts for all projects.
Interface with development team to ensure sufficient test coverage upstream in Unit testing in support of Test-driven development (TDD) best practices.
Collaborating in design and code reviews.
Work with developers, business analysts, product owners to design appropriate testing strategies.
Working with developers to ensure code quality has been met.
Product test metrics for reporting to upper management.
Analyze test results from a technical standpoint and the ability to isolate defects prior to escalating to the development team for resolution.

Required Skills:
8-10+ software testing and development. Must have 5 years SDET experience
2+ Java development including Java 7 and/or 8
Experience writing automated test scripts using 1 or more language like Java/ C#/Java script/Python.
Must have strong automation testing experience for Mobile and UI
1+ year experience testing REST APIs
2+ years’ experience with SQL database like Oracle/MS SQL.
Test automation tools such Jmeter, Postman, TestNG, Cucumber, Rest Assured
Various automated test suites (UI and API) through a variety of tools.
Prior experience working on mobile or telecommunications is preferred.
