Senior QA Automation Engineer - Business Tracker

About the Team:

Compass' Glide Division is building a collaborative transaction platform that streamlines all of the work that goes into buying and selling homes. Unlike other teams at Compass, Glide is a platform investment for the entire industry and is intended to be used by all real estate agents and clients, not just ones from a particular brokerage. Your job will be to take previously manual or tedious tasks and turn them into guided experiences in our software. Manual tasks today include preparing paperwork, booking appointments with vendors, and installing cable/internet. What we've built is resonating and we have a chance at becoming the dominant standard for how transactions get done.

At Compass You Will:

• Manually test and certify small and large-scale software changes at every level.
• Write API and E2E tests using Javascript and Cypress.
• Develop testing strategies to stay up-to-date with the development of several related cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
• Partner with product owners and developers to identify areas for improved efficiencies.
• Be self-reflective, growth-minded, and take part in an inclusive environment where we collaborate without ego, win together and fail together.

Some of the things We're Looking For:

You may not have all of the following experiences/skills, but having some of the following will help make you a good fit for our team.

• 6+ years in the Software Engineering and/or Software QA field.
• 4+ years experience anticipating edge cases and manually testing new software.
• 4+ years writing automated tests.
• Experience leading 2+ other QA engineers.
• Comfortable writing detailed test plans.
• Strong experience with Cypress and Javascript is preferred.
• Experience with continuous integration systems like Circle-CI or Jenkins and automating build processes and application deployments.
• Familiar with agile software development processes, are a self-starter who is comfortable in uncertainty, and able to forge strong relationships with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Senior Engineers.
