Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager/Transit Engineer to join our Chicago office.
Qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in the transportation transit and rail industry and have a successful track record with delivery of major-transit/rail programs.
This is an exceptional opportunity to be involved with major capital infrastructure transit/rail projects for our clients.
The applicant will have demonstrated experience in leading transit/rail major pursuits and the delivery of major programs. The objective of the position is to lead, pursue, develop and execute major projects required to deliver client programs within established and agreed budgets and schedules, thereby expanding AECOM’s reputation as the preferred transit/rail service consultant in the industry.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Plans, directs, and supervises all operations included in a large, complex project or several moderately sized projects with greater risk and complexity, and significant financial impact.
+ Resolves complex issues.
+ Manages projects on a local to national basis achieving quality outcomes, financial performance and client satisfaction.
+ Successfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, and executes project(s).
+ Acts as primary point of contact with client and has full responsibility for project delivery.
+ Project teams may include 10 or more members often representing multiple business lines, working in remote locations and including a subcontractor(s).
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree plus twelve (12) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education including four (4) years of leadership
Preferred Qualifications
+ The candidate should have over 10 years' experience in leading engineering projects with major-project management experience.
+ BSCE required in Civil Engineer
+ PE license in Illinois or ability to obtain.
+ Ability to scope/estimate complex projects
+ Track and manage task budgets and schedule experience
+ Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction
+ Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role
+ Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for design/project management/program management.
