Job Description

The Test and Trace Corps (T2) is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the Office of the Deputy Executive Director. The Office of the Deputy Executive Director is responsible for effective project management of priority/critical work streams and expected deliverables within or across Programs of the T2 operation.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Chief of Staff for the Deputy Executive Director, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for:
  • All aspects of the project lifecycle including planning, scope definition, design, execution and delivery,
  • Developing administrative and operational processes, templates, procedures/protocols and other core documents relating to the execution a range of new products and services needed for the Test and Trace Corps.
  • Supporting the Deputy Executive Director and Chief of Staff, ensuring they have all necessary tools to perform their duties, from an operational and administrative perspective, to promote the success of the T2 program and filling in gaps as needed to move high priority projects forward.
  • Managing all aspects of multiple, related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Reporting on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities.
  • Establishing strong, collaborative relationships with key NYC Health + Hospital, City and NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) stakeholders to achieve T2 performance objectives.
  • Working creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
  • Providing status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.
  • Conducting work assigned to other verticals and efforts over time as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration,
Healthcare Management, Engineering, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences or related discipline; and
2. Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in project and program management, execution, and
implementation, three (3) years of which must have been in the administration, management and/or
execution of projects and programs of various complexities, including work in health care program planning,
research, design or related area; or
3. Certification in Project Management (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Program
Management Professional (PgMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)) and four (4) years
of experience as described in #2 above, two (2) years of which must have been in the administration,
management and/or execution of projects and programs of various complexities, including work in health
care program planning, research, design or related area.

Department Preferences

  • 6+ years of experience (with Bachelor’s degree)
  • 4+ years of experience (with Master’s degree)
  • Relevant experience in project management, with a track record of managing projects from conceptualization to scale
  • Ability to complete work independently with broadly defined work objectives
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous staff management experience preferred
  • Previous experience in NYC government and/or public health entities/hospitals/community-based organizations a plus
  • NYC residency

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $59,509.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
