Position: Senior Project Manager
Scope of position: The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for successfully managing multiple corporate projects or programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost. Responsibilities will include acquiring resources in a matrix environment and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Senior Project Manager will develop the project’s plan and schedule; track budget, expenses and risks; escalate issues; develop mitigation plans; communicate status regularly to all stakeholders and oversee quality control throughout the project’s life cycle.
To be successful in this role the Senior Project Manager must possess equal amounts of project management expertise and business acumen. They must work closely with Executives, Project Sponsors and other business stakeholders to understand, interpret and evaluate business objectives, risks and constraints. All this must be conducted within the guidelines set forth by AvMed.

You have:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6 to 10 years Direct and proven work experience in a Project Manager capacity, including all aspects of project development and execution required
- CMS QHP-FFM, health insurance, and health care project management experience highly preferred
- Directly managing IT related projects required
- Excellent IT skills and understanding of software development lifecycle required
- Developing and managing large budgets required
- Managing or supporting projects in a health care environment, preferred
- Waterfall methodology: Agile methodologies preferred
- Gathering business requirements highly desired
- Good understanding of Earned Value Management preferred
- PMP certification highly preferred
- The individual will have customary project management responsibilities including:
- Ability to execute multiple projects. At least 2 to 3 medium size projects at a time.
- Managing teams (onsite and remote)
- Managing and tracking project annual budgets and scheduling expenditures
- Managing forecasting requirements, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions

- Cooperate with NTT project managers to develop and deliver joint plans
- Participate in the creation or updates to departmental processes and procedures
- Participating in planning sessions and department meetings
- Performing various types of analyses
- Recognizes and observes all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Focuses on achieving departmental and organizational objectives.
- Maintains professional appearance by complying with dress code in an appropriate manner
- Complies with company policies and procedures, which includes punctuality as they relate to work time, lunch, and break periods.
EQUIPMENT SKILLS:
- Ability to use personal computers in a client/server environment.
- Ability to use copiers and other traditional office equipment.
- Ability to use and interact effectively on the telephone.
