Details

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day P&L management of large customer engagements, including business proposal development and analysis, requirements definition, and delivery of product solutions customized for individual ISPs.

  • Monitor trends within the ISP channel and find opportunities to extend/augment the Linksys product roadmap into a product strategy tuned for ISPs.
  • Evaluation of products to be added, enhanced, refined, developed or eliminated from the portfolio. You will also be responsible for driving the definition, development, cost, and quality for your service provider solutions.
  • As the P&L owner for your products, be accountable for all financial aspects of the business relating to the ISP channels around the world. You will find opportunities for us to grow our customers’ revenue and profitability
  • Partner with Sales and Sales Engineers to develop technical initiatives to customize our products for large ISP customers. Daily interaction with customers set and exceed customer expectations, enable the customers’ businesses to succeed, and guide Linksys’ profitability throughout the engagement.

This is an entrepreneurial role. On large projects; partner with dedicated program managers. On small projects; act as the factory expert in supporting the sales efforts. You will work with engineering and external partners to customize existing solutions for ISP customers, following Linksys’ Product Development processes. As an in-house entrepreneur, you will step outside your role to do whatever is needed to drive the business. The job involves frequent travel (50%) and interaction with internal cross-functional team members, executive staff members, partners and vendors, sales teams and end customers.

How you’ll do it

  • Analyze and synthesize intelligence from market research, technology trends and customer Feedback to support the creation of product roadmaps.
  • Create Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and financial cases for products and customization projects.
  • Determine product specifications and features of assigned products.
  • Work with cross functional teams to transition products from specifications to proof of concept to full commercialization and launch, insuring that all details are in compliance with Linksys standards and customer expectations.
  • Partner with Teams to present the roadmap and product line to customers (US and International)
  • Work with Sales Engineering on proposals to customize products to individual customer needs.
  • Partner with Program Management and Product Development Management on the delivery of products according to schedules and budgets.
  • Make day-to-day decisions on P&L-related issues: operating expenses, capital expenditures, product cost and pricing. Align with Finance on these decisions.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Network Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred, with eight to ten years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated Product Management ability in a hardware/firmware environment, preferably in an IT product company; networking experience is required.
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical issues and how they are affecting your product and your business.
  • Proven, excellent communication skills
  • Creative, entrepreneurial approach to the workplace
  • Motivated self-starter with high attention to detail
  • Previous experience working in an international organization is a plus
  • Curious, driven and respectful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
