Your Role:

Are you excited about product design? Are you passionate about user interaction design and simple beautiful user experience? Tenable is looking for an extraordinary Senior UX Designer to join our team. Our group is chartered with creating the next generation of security products while at the same time pioneering unprecedented user experience in the digital security space.

Our goal is to reset the UX bar, redefine expectations, and bring world-class usability to cybersecurity in a way that ensures our products are easy to learn, use and manage.

Your Opportunity:

• Be a team player - Collaborate between multiple cross-functional teams to solve complex interaction problems, humanize product ideas and develop these ideas into elegantly designed solutions
• Be a strong critical thinker – You will collaboratively distill complex, large-scale and high-volumes of data into unique and stunning, yet highly-usable visualizations/data management paradigms
• Collaborate on design - You have experience in interaction design and information architecture. You understand the basic principles of user experience design and will use those skills to turn research into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity assets
• Be an advocate for the user/customer – By understanding the way our customers behave, you’ll base design solutions on real user problems and support your designs with logic and confidence
• Act as the user experience ambassador - Communicate broadly and present design solutions to the team and the broader organization. Defend design decisions and incorporate feedback into the design cycle
• Be Agile – You can operate in an Agile environment and, in it, you’ll drive usability initiatives to improve overall user experiences
• Emphasize organization and transparency – Organize your work so that it can be easily accessed and understood by others on the team
• Create and deliver great products! - Design experiences that are natural to use and beautiful to look at

What You'll need:

• BS/MS in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of professional experience as a UX designer
• Ability to translate complex concepts into easy to understand information architecture and user interaction
• 3+ years of experience working in the security domain
• 3+ years of experience working on enterprise applications
• Track record in driving product design strategy, approach delivering high-quality user-centric designs launched successfully as a product or feature
• Experience in leading design projects with an iterative process
• Experience in working closely with engineering and PMs on complex enterprise applications (e.g., data visualization, highly interactive apps, etc.)
• Experience driving UX strategy across an organization
• Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional and multi-cultural team environment
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• A strong portfolio that showcases your work, which provides details of your role on projects and shows examples of functional designs that you have developed from requirements through design delivery
• Familiar with current UX best practices and trends

And Ideally:

• UX research experience, whether with internal or external stakeholders
• Front-end coding experience or engineering background
• Excited about learning and being challenged
